National Seminar on Katha Keertan

Katha Keertan is an ancient, unique, interdisciplinary art form of India. This form is comprised of various art forms like Music, Dance, Drama, Gamaka and Folk.

Vanamala Center for Art and Culture in collaboration with Shadja Kala Kendra ® and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is organising a one day National Seminar on Katha Keertan on 23rd October 2016 in memory of the great Katha Keertan exponent Sant Bhadragiri Achyuta Das.

This seminar throws light on the origin, development and structure of this communicative art form through a series of lectures and demonstrations. A Journal comprising of articles on various art forms written by scholars and researchers would be released in the seminar. Scholars, Researchers and Students from different fields of Art forms are participating in this Seminar.

Maximum of 2-3 photographs related to the topic is welcome

Panel of Expert’s decision is final for the selection of articles
